Who am I?

Well, I was born in Washington, DC, on October the 13th, 1964. I grew up in West Virginia, where I attended Lewis County High School, and then moved to Baltimore where I attended The Johns Hopkins University for two years. Then I started a string of computer programming jobs, which led me back to the Washington, DC area. I currently develop software for a living. And, in my spare time I play with my computers: PCs, Suns, and Amigas.

What fun things do I do?

Hi! Well, you're wondering what kind of nifty person I am, no doubt!

We could start with my cool SO, Jenny. We bought a house in Manassas, Virginia in August, 1995. We got married on the back deck of that house. Then, we bought the farm! See some pictures of the farm. Or I could tell you about my nice friends like Kurt and Matt. I also have a pretty cool family.

Dilbert I like sports and wierd things like painting (oils) and reading (Jenny and I now have a "bookstore" on our web server - really just reviews with links to Amazon.com where you can buy the mentioned books (or others)). And I listen to all kind of music. And I love reading Scott Adams' Dilbert comic strip, a true insider's view of the computer industry.

Also, I belong to the Society for Creative Anachronism and a bunch of political groups, like It's Time, America.

You can e-mail me at home (vicky@steeds.com).

Wedding pictures

We've got them back. And now they're even scanned, thanks to Karen and Carol Anne. Look here for wedding pictures, and here for even more wedding pictures.
Note: Almost all the pictures were taken by Matt. Thanks Matt! They're great!
