Vicky's Music Page

I've rediscovered (on the web) a group a friend of mine told me about: Camel. Also, I've discovered a whole new genre called symphonic metal, including such bands as Within Temptation (my fave), and After Forever.

Previously, my big kick was Donna Lewis's new song, "I Love You Always Forever". (Links keep disappearing on me.)

I love all kinds of music from Black Sabbath to Bach.

Some of my favorites, for which I've (mostly) found links, are Dream Theater, Judas Priest, Blue Oyster Cult, Styx, Kansas, Pink Floyd, Uriah Heep, Jewel, and Rush.

And, while I like some really heavy metal (Megadeth comes to mind), I also like some new age (Enya; Mannheim Steamroller) or folk music (Steeleye Span; Peter, Paul and Mary; Christine Lavin (who is unique - she's the only person I know who's written songs including such bizarre things as: the word "nucleoli" and a web-page URL)).

I also like any band with Ronnie James Dio in it. This includes Elf, Rainbow, Black Sabbath, and Dio. Born "Ronald James Padavona", Ronnie has (I feel) the best voice in heavy metal music. His exact age is a mystery.

And just to have more people find this page, I'll list some more bands that I like. AC/DC, Iron Maiden, the Limeliters, Brasil 66 (yes, I'm sure they're up to Brasil 99 by now), Deep Purple, ABBA, Blondie, Queen, Supertramp, Natalie Merchant (with or without the other 9999 maniacs), Credence Clearwater Revival, and (of course) Yngwie J. Malmsteen.

Up and coming bands. A band doesn't have to be a big name with a recording contract to be good.

I'm still expanding this page, and looking for suggestions. Anyone have a Beatles page to suggest? Also, if I listed a band, but don't yet have a link, email me any pertinent links you know.
