Mrs. Sienkiewicz has broken away from her traditional Baltimore Album for this delightful applique-based craft book. She gives full instructions for cutting fabric shapes, including some elaborate shapes based on Baltimore Album quilts, as well as other modern ideas, and shows how they may be made into stunning greeting cards. One example which particularly appeals to me is a delightful fabric angel. She gives a number of patterns such as a cowboy, fish, cat, reindeer, rabbit, Mrs. Cottontail, a parrot, and so forth. A fun way to spend a day not sewing. :)

Illustrates some interesting ideas for incorporating the patterns into quilts in full-color. Rotary cutting instructions are given when appropriate. Projects include full-size quilts, table runner, pot holder, placemats, totebags, a purse with quilted flap, a book cover, bib apron, pinafore, magazine holder.

This book contains over 250 pages of techniques and patterns for country style quilts. There are some Christmas projects and a dinosaur quilt to die for, with instructions for making stuffed animals from the dinosaur pattern. There's a rag doll pattern that any little girl would love.
